Located at Kraft Heinz’s Town of Mount-Royal plant this position offers a young and dynamic work environment with great career perspectives. Proudly Canadian, the Montreal plant is dedicated to meeting the highest standards of Quebec and Canadian consumers. The facility counts over 40 production lines, operates 24/7, and is custodian to such staple brands as Philadelphia, Kraft Dinner, Kraft Peanut Butter, Renée’s gourmet salad dressings and Diana BBQ sauce.
As a Manufacturing Cost Analyst, you will work closely with the Finance, Manufacturing, R&D, Planning & Logistics and Procurement teams, to deliver and report on operational performance in terms of quality and cost. In this role, you will take full accountability of the cost accounting processes of production departments, from timely reporting of forecasts and budgets through to providing analytical insights driving sound decision-making. This role is also instrumental in streamlining and continuously improve the controlling team’s toolbox and processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Establish and maintain the integrity of product cost on in terms ingredients, packaging, labor & manufacturing expenses
- Analyze and report cost variances on a weekly basis while driving improvement or corrective actions.
- Plan and monitor Bill of Materials (BOMs), line performance and efficiency
- Represent Finance in multidisciplinary teams, contributing cost estimates, insightful analytics to drive competitive new product offerings, factory decisions, and other ad-hoc investment decisions.
- Work closely with key stakeholders such as CI (continuous improvement) on tracking financial feasibility productivity projects.
- Participate in the preparation of the Annual Plan (AOP) and month-end activities
- Ensure a healthy Internal Control environment is always upheld (SOX audits, routine testing, plant self-assessments).
- Become a co-pilot in all decisions impacting the performance of your respective divisions.
- Continuously challenge and streamline processes to improve efficiency in your line of sight.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Completed Bachelor’s degree in Commerce with a specialization in Accounting, or Finance
- Completed Accounting Designation would be preferred (CPA).
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in manufacturing, operational, cost accounting including variance analysis, forecasting, cost building and budgeting (annual operating planning)
- Analytical thinker; with a clear ability to communicate complex information.
- Advanced technical abilities with MS Excel, Tableau
- Practical experience of SAP or similar ERP system is preferred.
- Ability to work autonomously and influence cross-functional partners.
- Passionate and results-driven, with the ability to think outside the box.
- Acts like an owner
- Remuneration and position rating ccommensurate will be based on experience
