Reporting directly to the Management Controller, I am looking for an Assistant Controller whose main responsibilities are:
– Preparation of monthly financial statements, including preparation and analysis of journal entries for various balance sheet and income statement accounts, including fixed assets, prepaid expenses, and accruals
– Monthly analysis of variances against budget and forecasts
– Preparation of monthly GST/QST file
– Preparation of quarterly financial statements for holding companies
– Preparation of the year-end audit file and assistance to the controller for the year-end audit
– Preparation of various analyses at the request of management and other departments
– All other tasks associated with the accounting department
– DEC in accounting
– 1 to 3 years experience in a similar position
– Fluent in French and English
– JD Edward, an asset
– Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables)
