Job Description
The AVP, IT Asset & Configuration Management is responsible for the management of Manulife’s IT assets globally.
This role is key to our digital transformation, including retooling and evolving the processes that manage our IT assets. The successful candidate will be accountable for establishing, rolling out and managing our next generation global lifecycle management practices for all IT assets.
We are looking for a candidate with a proven track record of technical and enterprise-scale IT asset management leadership as well as success in leading teams through transformational change. The candidate will be passionate, persistent and detail oriented with an ability to clearly articulate an objective view of the IT asset inventory, associated risks and opportunities to enable business decision making.
The candidate will be responsible for leading the team of IT asset management professionals who support our global business., including:
Software Asset Management
Hardware Asset Management
Asset Identification Management (aka Configuration Management)
ITAM Education
ITAM Policies and Procedures
You bring:
10+ years’ experience managing IT assets in a complex, regulated, enterprise-scale environment
IT Asset Manager certification (CITAM) preferred
Confident presentation and facilitation skills, strong interpersonal and leadership skills to enable engagement with senior management and stakeholders at all levels
Ability to create and effectively communicate a strategy for a variety of stakeholders and audiences
Strong consulting and organizational change management skills
Ability to identify and lead initiatives which develop, implement and improve processes, procedures and governance
Experience collaborating successfully with geographically and culturally diverse cross-functional teams
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with vendors, third party partners, business units and technology departments across Manulife/John Hancock
Passion for the possibilities of technology and for staying abreast of advances in technology and industry best practices
