Job description: What is the opportunity?

This in an exciting opportunity to be part of Finance Shared Services – Finance Application Services team. As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operational support related to finance systems and applications including (but not limited to) EPM, TLM, PeopleSoft and Finance Datamart. You will support our business and IT partners in issue investigations and incident resolution and documentation. You will seek opportunities for improvements and ensure processes are well documented.

What will you do?

  • Participates in end-to-end process redesign, analysis, planning, documentation and implementation for assigned processes/tasks
  • Seeks to contribute to an environment of continuous improvement by identifying, recommending and assisting implementation of business solutions that support the overall strategy of the team
  • Leverages automation (e.g. VBA) and/or works with our IT partners to streamline process and eliminate non-value added activities
  • Assesses ambiguous situations and provides clarity to team and stakeholders as required
  • Promotes innovative or improved methods to achieve targets and implements best practices
  • Support the end-to-end incident management process working with Finance Shared Services & IT partners in the investigation of issues
  • Provide application operations support related to finance systems (e.g. EPM, TLM, PeopleSoft, Finance Datamart) including the day to day administration, parameter & control cube settings, process scheduling and validation of data
  • Responsible for completing Finance Systems Access Reviews, including maintenance and update of the data and group owner steward assignment (DOSA / GOSA) registry for the Enterprise Finance Systems, recommending opportunities for process improvement
  • Support Application Access Management Team with streamlining access provisioning (Access Templates, MyMarketplace Bundles, etc.)
  • Participate as subject matter expert (SME) in requirements gathering and user acceptance testing (UAT) pertaining to system support initiatives and maintenance releases
  • Maintain and keep current all administration guides and job aids related to finance systems
  • Ensure compliance with all controls across all Finance Applications

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • University degree or equivalent
  • Strong technical proficiency in Excel (Pivot tables, VB lookups)
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills
  • Change mindset and ability to apply a process improvement lens to all BAU activities
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proven time management, planning, organizational and problem-solving skills

Nice-to-have

  • Previous knowledge of RBC finance systems and tools (i.e. EPM, Adjustment Capture and PeopleSoft)
  • Ability to read and understand code
  • Knowledge of RBC application access provisioning tools (MyMarketplace, Access Manager, Service Now)
