We have a full‐time opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join our Hospitality team.
As a Business Development Manager, you will build on your past B2B sales experience to help expand PressReader’s presence in hotels worldwide. You will be responsible for generating new leads and sales. As a strong collaborator and team player, you will enjoy working closely with other team members and you will also benefit from the expertise of the marketing team and talented designers to support your sales efforts.
With your pleasant demeanor and inquisitive personality, you will develop and maintain a deep understanding of PressReader’s technology, sales processes, and important trends that apply to the hospitality industry and your market.

In this role, you will:
- Develop and implement market penetration strategies
- Cultivate relationships to build strong connections with industry leaders and influencers
- Secure new business, actively prospect and explore new partnerships to achieve sales targets
- Become a PressReader product expert on all the things that we offer, and stay up‐to‐date with new product launches
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
- Be part of a collaborative and inspiring team that will support you on your road to success
You are a great fit if you have:
- 1 to 3 years of B2B sales experience
- Proven ability to prospect and develop new business
- Excellent and efficient communication & presentation skills
- A goal‐oriented self‐starter attitude
- A proactive and creative mindset
- A kind, collaborative and resilient personality
- The ability to adapt to change in a fast‐paced environment
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and experience with CRM
- A mature & positive outlook and a great sense of humor
- The ability to travel internationally
Bonus points if you:
- Have a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and/or in Tourism and Hospitality
- Experience working in the hospitality industry
- Have a strong interest in the technology sector
This role is a full‐time position based in our Richmond, BC office. Working from home is available during the Covid pandemic and we are actively considering and trialing hybrid solutions post‐pandemic.
