My name is Melissa, I am a recruitment consultant specialized in finance, accounting and payroll. I work on both permanent and temporary positions within the Greater Montreal area.

I am currently looking for an Assistant Controller who will operate at the level of the foreign entities of a group I work with in Montreal. This is a 100% remote permanent position.

Your role will be :

– Responsible for the production of financial statements and monthly, quarterly and annual reports as well as all other financial information required

– Perform accounting and financial operations

Supervise the resources responsible for accounting activities

– Coordinate the activities of the external auditors including taxation

– Responsible for compliance with accounting standards and the accuracy of financial information

– Responsible for cash management

– Responsible for monitoring budgets and producing performance indicators

– Participate in the budget process and regularly update financial forecasts

– Participate in the optimization of policies and the implementation of internal control procedures and ensure their follow-up

– Ensure regulatory compliance in the USA, India, Morocco and France

– Participate in improvement and operational excellence project

Requirements :

– Hold a bachelor’s degree in administration

– Hold a professional title in accounting (an asset)

– Have 5 years of relevant experience

– English and French bilingualism

– Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite

– Knowledge of IFRS accounting standards (an asset)

– Knowledge of an ERP system (an asset);

– Ability to evolve in a growing field

– Ability to manage priorities and a variable workload
