Reporting to the Manager, Pension Education & Relationship Management, the Coordinator primarily supports and facilitates training delivery to OMERS employers and members including event management for an annual week-long employer conference.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate both in-person and virtual education sessions with team leads and employers, stakeholders and members including managing registration, booking space and equipment as required, set up room and produce training materials, track attendance and send out feedback surveys
- Work closely with the Manager to determine number and location of regional OMERS hosted education sessions each year
- Support planning and delivery of Employer Education Week, including event management, coordination of agenda and speakers, logistics, booking and setup of rooms, catering, etc.
- Support planning and delivery of annual President’s Roadshow, including scheduling and logistics for senior executives’ meetings with various groups of members
- Manage, order and replenish booth supplies, such as pens and other branded products
- Support various website updates including posting member and employer training session dates, manage registration, answer questions and troubleshoot concerns
- Track and report various team statistics such as session attendee numbers and member satisfaction metrics
- Provide support with team vehicle fleet such as renewals, insurance, maintenance, etc.
- Assist with annual team budget and forecasting
- Coordinate weekly team meeting, and capture and circulate minutes
- Provide administrative support to the VP, Employer Relations and Communications, including booking meetings, developing agendas and organizing team events and other initiatives as required.
To succeed in this role, you must have:
- Post-secondary education (in Business, Education or Learning & Development)
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Experience with video conferencing platforms including Microsoft Teams, WebEx and GoToWebinar
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator would be an asset.

- Ability to initiate and nurture positive working relationships with team members and partners at all levels both inside and outside the organization
- Excellent time management, planning, organizational and analytical skills.
- High energy and commitment with a proven ability to balance and prioritize simultaneous projects and tasks and work under pressure in a fast-paced, evolving business environment.
- Experience in a training, learning & development, or knowledge management function an asset
- Adult education certificate or training in project management and instructional design an asset
