They are looking for a Cost Accounting Manager to provide in-depth understanding of the company’s manufacturing costs in order to improve divisional performance and foster continued profitable growth for the company.

About the Opportunity

• Initially, the major responsibility will be to develop and implement a standard cost modelling process and reporting structure for Toro Aluminum and roll it out to all divisions
• Is a Finance Business Partner role to the Plant Managers & Plant Teams
• Owns the development and documentation of cost accounting policies and procedures, including system requirements and internal controls
• Takes an active role in decision making processes that allow for profit maximization
• Participates in the establishment of manufacturing KPIs and productivity action plans
• Drives corrective actions (both routine and exception) to provide accurate data to feed into the next budget cycles
• Ensures that actual variance drivers are properly identified and reported
• Ensures accuracy of plant financial reports for manufacturing performance
• Develops and maintains a dashboard of manufacturing variances and spending, highlighting opportunities for improvement and understanding trends and helps with root causes analysis
• Assists by providing commentary on performance vs targets
• Establish and prepare cost center reports
• Preparation of production, costing, as well as management reports comparing factors affecting costing and profitability
• Supports the Financial Reporting Team with budgeting and forecasting for costing and other related areas

About You

• CPA, CMA
• 10+ years of accounting/finance experience in the role and using Manufacturing ERP
• 5+ years in a manufacturing environment

Salary Range

$110,000 – $130,000/year
