This fast-growing global company, a proven acquirer in the software/ tech space offers an exceptional culture and runway. As a newly created role due to rapid and sustained growth, the Director Finance, reports directly to the CFO, and manages a fantastic and growing team of high performers!

This key leadership role includes oversight of monthly and quarterly accounting/reporting, FP&A, systems, acquisition integration, training, and continuous improvement, with liaising directly with business leaders, key stakeholders and Executives. As a “mini CFO opportunity” is a great opportunity for an upwardly mobile finance leader with an aspiration to be a VP Finance or CFO.

To succeed in this role, the right leader should be an outgoing, enthusiastic and energetic self-starter with a high detail orientation. The ability to multitask and manage multiple deliverables at the same time is critical. This is a hybrid mid-downtown opportunity.

Reporting to the CFO, the Director Finance is a key financial leader and a close partner to the CFO. This individual will oversee the execution of financial accounting and reporting and corporate operations, including related processes and systems. This position will also manage external audits and other financial reporting engagements.

In addition, the Director Finance will manage a large team, the finance integration function, technical accounting, and more! It will also liaise with finance professionals to ensure consistent and accurate financial reporting across the company.

Job Responsibilities: * Full ownership of consolidated and entity monthly, quarterly, and annual external financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with group accounting policies and consistency of reporting across existing and newly acquired partners.

  • Manage all systems and processes related to day-to-day accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and billing.
  • Lead the offshore finance and accounting teams, and thoughtfully designing this organization to effectively absorb accounting and finance integration responsibilities.
  • Partner with finance professionals and offshore teams to ensure financial reporting is completed in a timely manner.
  • Streamline reporting processes to facilitate faster month and quarter end closes, including the implementation of value-added software tools (e.g., automation), while seeking to continuously improve accuracy and value-added decision making.
  • Develop and maintain standardized templates for monthly close process and reporting.
  • Oversee the integration of acquisitions into the company’s finance infrastructure in an expedient, consistent, and thoughtful manner.
  • Manage financial audits and other engagements, including coordinating with external auditors, local statutory auditors, and other services providers.
  • Provide advice and guidance on accounting matters to internal accounting/finance professionals and stakeholders, including but not limited to purchase accounting, revenue recognition, new standards, hedging, credit facilities, and stock-based compensation.
  • Oversee the payroll department and ensure compliance with regulatory and tax requirements in relevant jurisdictions.
  • Coaching and mentoring of direct reports, providing guidance, training, and career development.
  • Document and/or review accounting policies and procedures, to ensure company financial statements are prepared in accordance with GAAP.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications for success: * Professional certification as CPA-CA and a relevant undergrad degree.

  • Minimum of 10+ years of accounting/finance experience, including relevant experience leading the accounting function of a multi-entity international serial acquirer.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, ideally in a software business.
  • Experience integrating acquisitions or implementing accounting system transitions and designing financial processes.
  • Proven background driving efficiency in accounting operations (e.g., reducing the time of financial close processes) and leveraging value-added software tools.
  • Experience overseeing the payroll function is an asset.
  • Promotes leadership by developing talent, driving a high-performing culture, and leading our core values and competencies by example.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with various levels of management.
  • Experience overseeing audits performed by external audit firms.
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment, flexibility a must.
