ABOUT THE CLIENT
Based in the heart of downtown Vancouver, our client is an established investment company that has been in the business for over a decade! Currently, they are looking to add a director of finance and operations to their growing team!
ABOUT THE POSITION
Reporting to the managing director, the director of finance and operations will be responsible for both financial reporting and regulatory reporting requirements, as well as manage the operational aspect of the company. Some of the duties include, but aren’t limited too:
- Monitor and develop internal controls and oversee full cycle accounting work.
- Work in collaboration with 3rd party vendors and auditors for year/month end closing.
- Process financial statements and oversee the treasury and budget function.
- Manage and provide expertise on finance matters, supporting new processes and continuous improvement within the business
- Mentor junior staff members
- Special projects as needed.
REQUIREMENTS
- Designated CPA or CFA
- 7+ years of accounting experience
- Diploma or degree in accounting
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
- Salary: $130,000 to $150,000
- 3 to 4 weeks’ vacation
