About This Opportunity
The Finance Director of Supply Chain provides leadership to a team of 10 direct and indirect reports overseeing Manufacturing, Co-packing, Transportation, Third-party Warehousing, Standard Costing, and Inventory Controls. As a key member of both the Operational Finance Leadership Team and the Supply Chain Leadership team, this role supports the business in providing financial guidance on both the day to day operations as well as strategic long-term initiatives impacting the supply chain of Coke Canada.
This position reports to the Senior Finance Director of Operations and is the finance business partner to the VP of Supply Chain.
Responsibilities
- Partnering with the VP of Supply Chain to lead a monthly review of financial performance. This includes presenting to the CEO, President & COO and CFO.
- Recognizing risks that may hinder financial performance and identifying opportunities to offset any foreseen gaps to plan
- Developing an annual budget for supply chain that enables the business to achieve EBITDA goals
- Managing and directing team priorities to ensure delivery of critical objectives while supporting the changing needs of the operations
- Monthly monitoring and forecasting of key drivers that impact working capital and the P&L
- Representing as the Finance Lead in numerous operational discussions, requiring aptitude to flag any financial concerns arising from business decisions
- Providing business partners with the appropriate scorecards/metrics to measure and improve on areas that may arise as opportunities
- Ad hoc financial analysis on various events that may arise in the supply chain
- Ensure compliance of inventory control practices across all facilities
- Coaching team members to ensure success in current roles and prioritizing team development to ensure members are potential candidates for future opportunities
- Playing a critical role in developing new tools to drive process improvements
- Supporting the month-end close process by ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
- Supporting the external year-end audit of the annual financial statements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in finance or accounting is required.
- MBA, CPA, or equivalent designation is preferred
- SAP experience is a plus
- Minimum 5-years experience managing a team
- Minimum 2-years related work experience in supply chain or plant manufacturing operations
- Ability to travel within North America (10 – 20%)
- Strong collaboration skills required to work with key stakeholders across different functions
- Provide strong business partnership by providing financial insights and recommendations
- Knowledge of supply chain concepts including absorption accounting
- Understanding of accounting principles required for accurate financial reporting
- Upholds a team environment of high performance and accountability, striving for continuous performance
- Commitment to ensuring integrity in financial results and adherence to ethical business practices
- Communicates effectively with exceptional written and verbal communication skills required to explain financial performance
- Time management skills required to ensure critical timelines are met with a sense of urgency
