Job Description

What You’ll Be Doing

Reporting to the Vice President – Auto Finance and Unsecure Lending, this role is responsible for achieving, maintaining and continuously improving operational excellence within Auto Finance, as demonstrated through clear KPIs, connected directly to the businesses P&L.

How You’ll Succeed

  • Develop and maintain an operations optimization plan, achieving key performance indicators linked to optimizing risk adjusted approvals and conditioning, minimizing deficiencies and rework, managing and avoiding fraud, and pressing for the maximum extent possible in digitization.
  • Own CIBC relationship with all key vendors and internal partners related to the operational value chain of Automotive Finance.
  • Work with the product and pricing teams to prioritize requirements and oversee the process of project management with 3rd party portals, loan origination system and internal technology partners.
  • Handle regulatory and governance issues related to Automotive Finance and manage the relationship with internal 1st, 2nd and 3rd line partners.
  • Oversee Dealer Services model, both optimization and business as usual.
  • Oversee the application of manual policy by adjudication within CIBC’s risk appetite, and maintain accountabilities to second line partners.
  • People Management- Provide for the professional development of staff, provide motivation, coaching, training and development opportunities to ensure employees are capable of performing at or developing to the necessary professional standards. Provide regular formal and informal feedback to ensure performance appraisals and the identification of development needs are fair, accurate and effectively communicated.
