Position Summary
ECS 101 – Education for Justice: Knowledge, Schooling and Society (Sessional Practica Coach/Seminar Leader)
The course provides an introduction to the foundations of teaching, including politics of education, ethical relationality, teacher identity and professionalism, conceptions of learners and learning, and teaching for justice, equality and equity.
Sessional Practica Coaches/Seminar Leaders will attend the large lecture, lead a seminar section and assist with marking, etc. Remuneration is based on 80 hours x $56.65/hour = $4532.00.
Position Requirements
Normally it is preferred that applicants will have a Master of Education degree appropriate to the area of instruction. Applicants should also have experience in the education system appropriate to the content of the course applied for, knowledge of, and experience with the Saskatchewan curriculum, knowledge and experience with Faculty of Education programs, and current knowledge of issues related to the course for which the applicant has applied. University teaching experience is an asset.
