About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Department of Medicine’s Manager the Education Program Assistant (EPA) is the first point of contact for the division’s educational program, and is responsible for all communications related to residents/students. The EPA coordinates the educational process and complex scheduling for all residents and students for both Dalhousie, and other national/international residents and students.
About You
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Grade XII plus graduation from a recognized one year secretarial or office administration course
- Minimum two (2) years experience working in an academic medical secretarial environment
- Medical terminology course or knowledge is required
- Excellent computer skills using MS Professional Office Suite
- Excellent communication skills, oral and written
- Analytical and decision making skills within scope of employment
- Must be an excellent team player and be able to develop positive working relationships
- Transcription skills an asset
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
**Skills testing will be performed. Only applicants achieving a mark of 70% will advance to the interview process.
