Job description: Miles HR has an opportunity for a Financial Administrator to join a downtown Vancouver investment company. This position is best suited to the candidate who has at least 6 months of experience in accounting, or experience with wire transfers. This is a great opportunity if you wants to work for an exciting finance firm with growth potential!

This position is based in the office in Downtown Vancouver, for a 3-month contract with the possibility of becoming permanent.

About the Role:

  • Wire transfers
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Preparing expense payments
  • Physical receipt and delivery of stock certificates
  • Processing and new issue of private placements
  • Stock transfers
  • Control of safe deposit boxes
  • Obtain documentation to negotiate securities, messenger duties and reports
  • Processing securities for deposit
  • Assisting clients at the securities counter

About You:

  • Bachelor Degree or Diploma with a focus on Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum 6 months Accounting or Banking experience
  • Experience with Broadridge or Multiview is an asset
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Calm under pressure
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
  • Strong ability to operate in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Must be bondable
  • Self motivated team player
