Job description: Miles HR has an opportunity for a Financial Administrator to join a downtown Vancouver investment company. This position is best suited to the candidate who has at least 6 months of experience in accounting, or experience with wire transfers. This is a great opportunity if you wants to work for an exciting finance firm with growth potential!
This position is based in the office in Downtown Vancouver, for a 3-month contract with the possibility of becoming permanent.
About the Role:
- Wire transfers
- Bank reconciliations
- Preparing expense payments
- Physical receipt and delivery of stock certificates
- Processing and new issue of private placements
- Stock transfers
- Control of safe deposit boxes
- Obtain documentation to negotiate securities, messenger duties and reports
- Processing securities for deposit
- Assisting clients at the securities counter
About You:
- Bachelor Degree or Diploma with a focus on Accounting or Finance
- Minimum 6 months Accounting or Banking experience
- Experience with Broadridge or Multiview is an asset
- Proven ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
- Calm under pressure
- Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
- Strong ability to operate in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Must be bondable
- Self motivated team player
