Job description: On behalf of our top Banking client Adecco is currently hiring for a Finance Associate in Toronto, ON. To qualify for the Finance Associate role, you must have sound knowledge of Canadian Fixed income and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Our client is a large, reliable, and reputable organization within the financial services industry. This is an 18-months full time contract position with potential of extension and conversion to perm, paying $21.00/ hr. This will be a remote role until office reopens. The working schedule will be Monday to Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm EST.

Finance Associate Main Responsibilities: * Will be responsible for paying income, including dividend, dividend reinvestment (DRIPS), interest and redemptions on all investment vehicles

• Manage settlement processing and reporting for local and global equity and/or fixed income trades via our depositories
• Perform quality investigations emphasizing accuracy and timeliness and escalate issues appropriately when necessary

Finance Associate Main Requirements: * To be considered for this role, all applicants must be willing to undergo a soft credit check

• High school required; post-secondary education preferred
• 2-4 years of previous experience in administration preferably back office required
• Minimum 1 years’ experience in financial/banking services preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Advanced Excel skills needed (V-lookups)
• Completion of Canadian Securities Course (CSC) would be an asset
• Previous experience in VBA (macros)desirable
• Ability to operate successfully in a remote based position
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Solid customer service and attention to detail skills
• Organized, eager to learn and have a good attitude
