What you will do:

  • Collaborate with Corporate and Distribution Center teams to define, plan, and execute on strategies and initiatives
  • Execute Corporate and Distribution Center budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Analyze Corporate and Distribution Center performance including monitoring and reporting, as well as identifying and communicating areas of improvement
  • Hold teams accountable for the Corporate and Distribution Center budget and approved initiatives, including quarterly reviews with VPs and Directors
  • Prepare financial models and rationale for capital expenditures and monitor performance against approved budget
  • Financial modelling for special and ad hoc projects and provide analysis and insights needed for decision making
  • Provide commentary around monthly financial results for Corporate functional groups and Regional Distribution Center
  • Prepare, review, and distribute a variety of financial and market reports, providing commentary highlighting key insights (e.g., daily sales, variance analysis, market indicators)
  • Provide support as it relates to understanding financial policies, processes, concepts and results
  • Work collaboratively and liaise within the broader Finance team to share best practices, knowledge, deliver superior results and improve collaboration across the team
  • Develop excellent working relationships with stakeholders

What you will bring:

  • University education in Business
  • Accounting designation (CPA, CA, CMA or CGA) or in progress
  • 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, business partnering
  • Focus on compliance, controls and ethical behaviour
  • Oracle EPBCS/GL, Power BI, Tableau, experience preferred
  • Expert in Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel – Vlookup, Pivot Tables, Charts, etc.)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial modelling skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail with a focus on reporting accuracy
  • Ability to balance working independently while providing a high level of customer service
