The Opportunity:
Join a dynamic team as a key finance leader. In this pivotal role, you’ll oversee the Finance department, collaborate with various business lines, and drive financial strategies to support our mission. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your expertise in a diverse environment, ensuring fiscal accountability and operational efficiency across multiple programs.
The Responsibilities:
- General oversight of the Finance department and management of an Accountant
- Collaborate with business managers on daily accounting tasks.
- Record necessary journal entries, including payroll.
- Handle balance sheet and bank reconciliations.
- Manage accounting for multiple business lines.
- Produce regular and ad hoc financial reports.
- Oversee RGI program reporting.
- Prepare year-end documentation and facilitate audits.
- Engage with the administration team for accurate statistical reporting.
- Support Payroll functions and step in during absences.
- Develop variance reporting for payroll and expenses.
- Assist managers in data-driven decision-making.
- Communicate with external stakeholders, addressing potential issues.
- Handle government reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Lead special projects, such as system upgrades.
- Manage departmental documentation and advise organizationally.
- Flexibility to work off-hours as needed.
The Qualifications:
- University degree in Accounting or Business Administration.
- CPA designation.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a related role.
- Proficiency in accounting and financial reporting, under GAAP principles.
- Expertise in computerized accounting systems, preferably Great Plains Dynamics.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Ability to multitask in a deadline-driven environment.
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English
