Job description: Purpose of Position:

This position will be responsible for the overall financial accountability of assigned locations. In this role, the position will also be responsible for ensuring adherence to, and implementation of Canadian financial policies and procedures

Accountabilities:

• Complete month end closings and submit financial reporting to department Controller.
• Perform financial analysis regarding business performance, with the overall objective of providing assistance and guidance to General Managers within assigned locations.
• Continuously monitor adherence to financial and internal control policies and procedures within assigned regions.
• Participate in inventory count process review and reconciliations.
• Monitor, measure and refine KPIs, metrics and operational performance.
• Perform financial analysis regarding business performance.
• Assist in the completion of annual budgets and forecast.
• Document controls, processes and procedures related to accounting and ensure SOX compliance.
• Assist with and ensure successful quarterly and year end audits.
• Complete special projects as required.

Minimum Skills Required:

• 4-year College Degree (Accounting, Business or similar) from an accredited institution.
• At least 5 years of prior experience in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (i.e. Word, Excel, and Outlook).
• Familiarity with Canadian GAAP and Corporate Tax laws highly desired
• Good analytical and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills (i.e. oral and written).
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, detail-oriented and confidential environment.
