This is a role well suited to an ambitious professional, looking for the next step in their career. As a Finance Manager in the Diagnostics business, you will be responsible for:

People Leadership:

• Hiring, training, motivating, providing direction, support, mentorship, coaching and career

development

• Reviewing work of the team and providing guidance to the team

• Ensuring the team has booked all orders and revenues, and billed in a timely fashion to the

customer

• Providing guidance on special terms in the negotiation that are unique to the customer

• Creating efficiency by working with IT to automate processes or lead the discussion for reports

through digitalization initiatives for the respective team(s).

Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Lead the annual Cash Flow and Balance Sheet Budgeting and forecasting processes for DX –

Updating Cash Flow forecast and providing commentary on variance to NAM HQ.

• Lead the annual New Orders Budgeting and forecasting processes; Review monthly Actual to

Budget and provide commentary to Director of Finance related to risk assessment against budget/forecast objectives.

• Work with functional management (Business/Marketing Managers, Sales, Service and technical operations) to define specific functional deliverables to ensure a functionally integrated budget process for Revenue.

• Oversee whole P&L ensuring data and forecast accuracy with proactive investigations on

deviations from forecast/budget and recommendations on profitable growth.

• Assist in the creation of Annual Budget presentation for Siemens Healthcare HQ.

Financial Reporting and Analyses:

• Assist Director of Finance in the month end and quarter end close for the DX business and ensuring integrity of books and records in accordance with accounting principles, analyses are

performed on a timely basis, and appropriate controls are in place for financial reporting with RIC requirements.

• Work and respond to internal and external auditors’ inquiries and audits

• Implementation of new accounting policies or changes in accounting/business processes that

impact reporting

• Review account reconciliations that have been prepared by the team before submission to

Director of Finance

• Handle all FC reporting tools (e.g.: JEDOX, HERA and ESPRIT), and being responsible for main

data submissions (e.g.: Monthly FC to HQs).

• DX specific Costs Allocation Cycles to be handled together with NAM Accounting team.

• Handle all BPC monthly Closing topics related to DX: Freight costs recognition, Salary and Vacation Accruals, Group Benefits costs, Severance booking, STIP calculation and accounting, AR

reserve, among others.

• SG&A/COGs transparency, with figures reconciliation and data basis maintenance.

• Support all Headcount data and transparency (FC and Actuals), to facilitate decision making

processes.

• Oversee monthly cost center spend with respective managers ensuring expenses are in line with

approved budgets

• Prepare monthly business review presentations

• Review CPR contracts and next action steps with Sales & Marketing to ensure minimal to zero

wastage from customers

Business Support:

• Approve customer deals (DXCON/Shareville) and provide guidance to Sales & Marketing as

needed

• Support Sales team on Terms & Conditions negotiations, approving customer prices that are

outside of price lists, and any other matters impacting with the successful signoff from the customer

• Support CPR process

• Support price harmonization process

• Support Sales & Marketing on new product introductions, evaluations, and ROI analysis

• Assist in the day- to-day Operations of the DX business by working with various functional teams

on resolving issues

• Backup for Head of Finance DX Canada.

• Chartered Professional Accounting designation

Required skills to have for the success of this role:

• Bachelor of Commerce or similar university degree

• 8+ years of financial experience in a large matrix company

• Demonstrated experience with process efficiency & implementation.

• Demonstrated experience with forecasting and results reporting.
