Job description: DESCRIPTION
The successful candidate will have demonstrated an ability to influence business owners, support thoughtful decision-making, and adapt to a rapidly evolving environment. Regular collaboration with executives and various business units across Amazon will allow you the opportunity to exhibit your verbal and written communication skills. This role provides an opportunity to analyze, plan and report productivity metrics for the Canadian FC network; create standardized models to calculate impact of business drivers on efficiency of labor, preparing SQL based templates and dashboards to view performance metrics; identifying areas of improvement in the reporting and analysis of business performance and working and influencing stakeholders to deploy solutions.
Key job responsibilities
– Analyze, plan and report productivity metrics for the entire Canadian FC network
– Create standardized models to calculate impact of business drivers on efficiency of labor
– Preparing SQL based templates and dashboards to view performance metrics.
– Creating strategy for reporting and automation across Canadian finance organization.
We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:
Toronto, ON, CAN
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Computer Science)
– 5+ years of finance experience, or Master’s degree and 3+ years of finance experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
– 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
– MBA, or CPA
– Knowledge of SQL/ETL
– Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
– Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
