Job description: DESCRIPTION
The successful candidate will have demonstrated an ability to influence business owners, support thoughtful decision-making, and adapt to a rapidly evolving environment. Regular collaboration with executives and various business units across Amazon will allow you the opportunity to exhibit your verbal and written communication skills. This role provides an opportunity to analyze, coordinate and report Month End Close performance for the CACF network; preparing reporting packages such as Weekly Business Reports / Weekly Flash and Month End Close performance reports; identifying areas of improvement in the reporting and analysis of business performance and working and influencing stakeholders to deploy solutions.
Key job responsibilities
– Coordinate Month-End close (MEC) processes with accounting / payroll operations and FACT to ensure the right cost is reflecting in CACF cost centres.
– Preparing a financial bridge for MEC versus planned scenarios and prior-periods in coordination with WW FP&A.
– Coordinating with payroll operations, CACF business operations and WW FP&A to prepare a business narrative to tie with the financial bridge.
– Prepare the Weekly Business Reports to summarize financial performance and outlook for the month to leadership
– Prepare and communicate the MEC performance with a summary package as well as a presentation to CACF leadership.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Computer Science)
– 5+ years of finance experience, or Master’s degree and 3+ years of finance experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
– 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
– MBA, or CPA
– Knowledge of SQL/ETL
– Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
– Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
