Prime Management Group Inc. is pleased to be partnering with Campbell & Co. in the search for a highly motivated, qualified, and engaging Finance Manager to join their dynamic and growing team. Reporting directly to the President, with guidance and supervision from the Financial Controller, the Finance Manager is responsible for leading the daily financial and administrative services for the organization with a high level of efficiency and effectiveness. The Finance Manager will play a pivotal role in the economic success of the company and be responsible for assisting in the management, planning, and organization of key financial processes within Campbell & Co., while providing motivating leadership and daily oversight to the finance team.

In this fast-paced role, this committed financial leader will be adept at maintaining a complete set of books with the accrual method and implementing comprehensive controls to mitigate risk. They will also work collaboratively with the entire team to develop more efficient business processes, adapting to the ever-changing needs of a growing and expanding company. The Finance Manager will also be responsible for maintaining strong client relationships through excellent written and oral communication skills, ensuring prompt collections of receivables and timely vendor invoice payments. Additionally, they will handle payroll functions, prepare bank reconciliations, and comply with government reporting requirements and tax filings at local, provincial, and federal levels.

The trustworthy and diligent Finance Manager will also be committed to improving financial systems and processes for enhanced efficiency and accuracy, which includes daily oversight and administration of general ledger accounts, banking transactions, sales invoicing, and monthly financial statement preparation. They will assist in fiscal year-end closing and prepare working paper supports and schedules for financial statement audits, as needed for consolidated financial statements. The Finance Manager will also manage contract administration with vendors, contributing to KPI analyses and will maintain regular communication with the finance administrators and support staff on a daily basis. Likewise, they will have weekly contact with the Financial Controller and engage in correspondence with Navacord’s finance team, both verbally and in writing. Liaising with other company personnel to share financial data, handling accounts payable and accounts receivable-related correspondence, and engaging with CRA and Ministries of Finance will also be integral to this role.

To excel in this role, the Finance Manager should possess the following:

  • A post-secondary degree/diploma in Accounting.
  • CPA designation or enrollment in CPA program considered an asset.
  • 3-5 years of related experience leading the financial administration, and assisting in the financial success of an organization.
  • Strong working knowledge in finance, reporting and accounting procedures/regulations.
  • Strong leadership, analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to function well in a team-oriented, deadline-driven environment
  • Experience in strategic planning, budgeting, risk management, accounting and internal controls
  • Familiarity with Sage 50 with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
