Job Description

What you can expect in a typical day:

Are you looking for a summer job? Check this out – as a summer student with Irving Oil you will have an opportunity to learn in a collaborative environment with one of Canada’s Top 100 employers! In this role you will use your strong high attention to detail, customer service mindset, and ability to multi-task effectively, you will be a line of support for the Accounts Receivable Project Co-Ordinator. You will support by attending meetings, recording action items, following up with various team members for status updates, updating and creating reports as required. You will also support testing and validation of new processes or changes to processes.

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Excellent organizational skills, time management and ability to work on multiple projects at one time in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical/critical thinking skills with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written
  • Ability to handle objections and adversity
  • Effective collaborator and a team player
  • Solid knowledge of MS applications: Word and Excel especially

Professional skills

  • Update status reports and task lists
  • Work closely with team members as well as interaction with Senior level team members
  • Effective note taking, ability to articulate action items
  • Review testing documents supplied by IT, validate the testing results and reporting out on findings

Travel

  • Travel is not a requirement for this role.

Education and experience

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary Business program
  • Must have completed at least 1 year of post-secondary education and be returning to school in the Fall of 2022
