Job description: About this role:

This is a Finance senior analytic and business consultant role (Senior Risk Analytics Consultant) which will partner and support the Branded Cards and Marketing team within the Wells Fargo Credit Card business. The Branded Cards and Marketing team is responsible for the management and growth of Wells Fargo’s Branded Credit Cards. This position will support the Branded Cards and Marketing team with their finance needs including forecasting, month end reporting, expense management, financial analysis & evaluations, investment decisions and rewards expense and liability management. The role requires knowledge and experience in using the SAS programming language to pull data for analysis and ad hoc efforts.

In this role, you will:

  • Partner with senior leaders within the Branded Cards and Marketing team to be the their trusted financial support and advisor
  • Provide month end financial reporting and forecasting by product, channel, and vintage including revenue, charge off, and expenses
  • Understand and support aspects of the Branded Cards and Marketing financials including investment determination, project management, expense management, account and portfolio performance, and of reward’s expenses and liabilities
  • Prepare presentations for Branded Cards and Marketing efforts to senior management
  • Collaborate across Finance to support forecasting, investment decisions, FP&A, reporting, rewards management and expense work related to the Branded Cards and Marketing business
  • Partner with Marketing, Strategy, Operations, Credit Risk and other areas of the Bank as necessary to support the Branded Cards and Marketing business
  • Participating in the forecasting process, working with the forecasting team to ensure accurate product/vintage/channel forecasting and coordinating with the necessary business teams
  • Assist in the rewards expense and rewards liability efforts including monthly close, forecasting, running/updating models (using SAS programing scripts) and ad hoc research
  • Perform analysis and research for business and rewards efforts using SAS programing to access and manipulate databases
  • Support ad hoc business and finance needs across Cards/Wells Fargo

Required Qualifications, US:

  • 4+ years of Risk Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree or higher in one or a combination of the following: Finance, Accounting, Analytics, or Reporting
  • Finance experience in one or a combination of the following: finance, analytics, reporting or financial/statistical modeling
  • Understanding the financial side and the strategic side of the business to assist the business in its growth efforts
  • Ability to translate and present financials, projects and data in a manner that educates, enhances understanding, and influence decisions
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience in SAS programing and writing/using code to perform analysis, modeling or reporting
  • Ability to work and manage effectively in a matrixed organization
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, LiveMeeting and SharePoint) skills with a high level of proficiency with Excel
  • Knowledge and understanding of Essbase Finance tools for reporting and analysis
  • Ability to communicate effectively, in both written and verbal formats, including to senior executive-level leaders
  • Credit card experience
