Your Mission

As an IT Analyst in Cloud Management and Governance, your mission will be to monitor and manage cloud usage, providing reliable cost reporting and performance telemetry, and optimizing the cloud environment to address budget variances. Also, to be responsible for proactively applying cloud governance, coordinating regular controls and monitoring reconciliation activities. It will also include maximizing the value of cloud asset investments, analyzing data, applying corrective actions and identifying and implementing process improvements.

Your Role & Main Responsibilities

Interacting with different teams across multiple organizations and geographical locations of the company

Providing creative contribution to improving our clients’ cloud environments our own internal methods and assets

Managing the costs and requirements associated with cloud technologies.

Finding more efficient cost-effective ways to use the cloud – cost optimization

Monitoring and management of cloud usage, delivering reliable cost reporting and performance telemetry, and optimizing the cloud environment to address budget deviations

Identifying large numbers of resources that are no longer being used and working with owners to shut them down

Responsible for developing and implementing best practices for cost management

Finding mass opportunities for right-sizing resources to the smallest stock-keeping units (SKUs) that can support performance requirements

Responsible of best practices of cloud procedures, such as tagging cloud resources and planning smart license acquisitions. Ensuring all our cloud resources are tagged properly

Allocating and tracking cloud resources to analyze and report cloud spending.

Maintain system support documentation application inventory and associated artifacts (CIs)

Defines motivations and business outcomes for cloud investments and aligns business priorities and cloud adoption efforts

Owning the Cloud Management platform and define associated roadmap and improvement over time

Job qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, business, or equivalent experience;

Minimum of five years of experience in IT with a strong technical competency in cloud management;

Understanding of system architecture, including processor, memory, storage and networking;

Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills in depth understanding of relational databases;

Understanding of system architecture, including processors, memory management, storage and networking;

Deep knowledge in Azure, AWS cloud (Compute, network, Storage);

Extensive hands-on experience with building and managing scalable cloud services, including experience with at least one private Cloud Services platform;

Bilingualism (French and English) is required;

Experience with Apptio Cloud management tool is a strong asset.
