Job description: We are looking for an energetic well organized individual who enjoys helping people in person and by phone. This position will start as a contract position with opportunity to go full time. Hours: 9am to 5pm – Monday to Friday. Weekend work is also required occasionally for projects. This job needs someone with flexibility ready to work onsite at client sites or remote. Please note you need to have 1 year actual IT work experience within a business environment. We won’t look at any applicants without one continuous year IT working experience (co-op placement doesn’t count). You must also live within London, Ontario or within a community close to London as you will be going onsite to clients when needed.

Your role will be first contact line of support for a fun laid back team. You will be answering the phone, logging and escalating tickets as required, helping clients when you can and booking time on site with our valuable clients. The right individual will have an opportunity to contribute and build the company with us.

Must have skills:

– Windows (Windows 7 and Windows 10)

– Windows Server (2016 and up) including DNS, DHCP, AD

– Microsoft Office (Office 2013 and up)

– Strong Microsoft Outlook experience

– Strong email troubleshooting experience including with Microsoft 365

– Virus, spyware and malware experience

– Solid TCP/IP understanding

– Networking experience within a business

– Router configuration and troubleshooting

– Strong desire to please and help people

– Excellent organizational skills

– Excellent documentation skills

– Great attention to detail

– Must work well under pressure and excel at multi-tasking

– Strong desire to learn and grow with the company

– Excellent communication skills and business sense

– Can work independently

– A strong entrepreneurial spirit with a desire to contribute to a close knit fun team

Nice to have skills:

– Backup software experience

-RDS/RemoteWeb

– Firewall and business class router experience

– RMM experience (ticketing systems with monitoring systems)

– Microsoft 365 Data Security and Compliance including Azure

– Consulting experience

Things you’ll need for this position:

– a vehicle

– a smart phone

– a computer/laptop

– willing to travel throughout London and surrounding areas (as far as Toronto)

We would be willing to consider a self employed contractor who can grow with us into a full-time position. Your office will be your home for remote support working in an IT “help desk” role and you must be able to go onsite at a moments notice.
