Job description: Accomplishes information technology results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees and/or vendors; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.

Maintains vendors by selecting, planning, orienting, building partnerships, reviewing SLA’s and KPI’s.

Maintains organization’s effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, monitoring and supporting strategic plans for implementing information technologies.

Directs technological research by studying organization goals, strategies, practices, and user projects.

  • Completes projects by coordinating resources and timetables with user departments and data center.
  • Verifies application results by conducting system audits of technologies implemented.
  • Preserve assets by implementing disaster recovery and backup procedures and information security and control structures.
  • Recommends information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; and anticipating requirements.
  • Manage risk prevention, end-user training, and monitor security threats, through technology (Ex. Dr/BC), ITIL, NIST, and other standards.
  • Maintains Software and Hardware Asset Management; planning; purchasing; and implementing new technologies.
  • Accomplishes financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; and initiating corrective action.
  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
  • Attends executive meetings and planning, including Operations Team meetings.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer or Information Science or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 10 Years Experience (Recommended); 7 Years Required.
  • Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Organized with attention to detail.
  • Comprehensive understanding of advanced IT systems.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Erie Information System.
  • Experience with a variety of Autodesk Products (AutoCAD, Revit, Inventor, Vault, etc.)
  • Effective communication skills at all levels both written and verbal.
  • Excellent analytical, logical thinking, and problem–solving skills.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks and ability to effectively manage conflict.
  • Ability to work in teams to obtain results, self-motivated/directed, minimal supervision required over time.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Hires and trains members of the IT technical staff.
  • Assigns duties and responsibilities and oversees workflow of project staff.
  • Oversees the day-to-day workflow of the department.
  • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
