Job description:

We are looking for a talented IT Production Manager. This is a permanent position. The work is hybrid and the applicant must live in the Montreal area. Beautiful technologies and nice challenge are waiting for you.

What will be your day-to-day?

The job demands reactivity, superior communication, the ability to quickly understand and summarise complex functionality and environments, and a mindset geared towards improving IT Service Management practices, workflows and tools.

The candidate will have the following responsibilities across the Americas region:

• Actively monitor production stability and major incidents impacting the Americas, and provide timely updates to senior application and infrastructure managers.

• As the central Customer Relationship Manager, coordinate major incident impact analysis and communications in the region.

• Regularly collect, analyse and document production status and SLA/OLA breaches, and present to management.

• As a Process Officer, implement Incident, Problem, Service Level, IT Monitoring, Capacity and Availability management practices locally, following the policies defined globally. Transform certain policies initiated in the Americas into global policies.

• Support global teams in writing/updating and communicating production practice related documents(policies, process documents etc.,), and drive adoption, training and compliance by local teams.

• Respond to audit requests relating to IT production practices, and collaborate with internal and external auditors to agree recommendations and deliverables.

• Conduct maturity assessments and support IT teams by proposing solutions to identified gaps.

• Manage onshore/offshore teams and projects.

• Track the status of projects, organise steering committee meetings and provide regular reports to stakeholders.

Profile

What you bring to our team:

• Deep understanding of production fundamentals and values

• Advanced presentation skills

• Exposure to an enterprise IT environment with local and global stakeholders

• Experience and confidence interfacing with teams of developers and infrastructure engineers. Previous experience in networking, security, database, storage, cloud, Windows, Unix or application development and familiarity with Agile development methodology, DevOps and Continuous Delivery is an asset.

• Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio.

• Ability to perform data analysis and reporting. Business Intelligence / analytics experience such as Power BI is preferred.

• Proficiency in English and good written/oral communication

• Ability to define or update and propose best practices

• Ability to manage offshore teams and their deliverables

• ITIL expertise

• Expertise on Microfocus SMAX, ServiceNow or other enterprise ITSM platforms

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelors or Master’s degree in computer Science or IT
