The Position
This role has the responsibilities of gathering, managing and communicating requirements that will be used to deliver projects of strategic and operational value. It involves working closely with business and functional leaders, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders. You will manage and lead the project team, vendors, and stakeholders so that stated project objectives, benefits and solution requirements are met. You will report directly to the Director, IT & Supply Chain.

Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Identifies project opportunities and pursues them from idea to post implementation.
- Designs, programs, tests, installations and maintains of related systems.
- Collaborates with Novo Nordisk HQ and Affiliates and other stakeholders to ensure that possible synergies are realized.
- Participates in the project portfolio process and IT strategy development.
- Contributes to the development and maturing of Information Technology.
- Manages the project budget, schedule, and quality components.
- Managing Projects, Scheduling, QA, and ensures departmental project and QA requirements are fulfilled and adhered to.
- Ensures project team meets schedules, milestones, deliverables and that deliverables meet quality requirements.
- Ensures solutions implemented are successfully transitioned to responsible units in later stages of the lifecycle.
- Incorporates quality systems into all stages of the project/lifecycle.
- Leads Validation for GxP Systems.
- Communicates with internal and external customers regarding planning, budgeting, and project development (e.g., communicates problems to management)
- Possesses and provides subject matter expertise for the various system solutions and the supported business processes.
- Provides a single point of contact for supporting the applications in support of one or more specific business processes or areas. (Systems Manager role)
- Develops and reports performance measures periodically on the health and operating quality of the application systems.
- Assists in developing procedures for incident management, problem management and change management functions for business-critical systems; Investigates such problems and opportunities to determine the feasibility of a solution and the approach for providing appropriate solution.
- Participates in release plan development and reviews where necessary.
- Participates and provides input to change processes; handles requests for changes by assessing the request and determining the system changes and the cost and time estimate for the request.
- Coordinate’s software upgrades and releases
- Recommends improvements in system performance and functionality.
- Develops and maintains System Documentation, Process Maps, and Design Notes to share knowledge and establish procedures/processes across the IT Team.
- Facilitates the technical communication and coordination among the project team, other technical staff, external vendors and business stakeholders.
- Keeps updated on technologies and related Systems to set strategy and make recommendations to business stakeholders.
Education & Experience:
- A university degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or related field required. Relevant experience may be substituted when appropriate.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience as project manager in IT or related field with emphasis on project management and execution.
- The following additional requirements are an asset:
- PMP Certification
- Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent
- Agile Project Management experience
- Pharmaceutical industry experience
- Proven ability to lead a project in the development and implementation of processes and programs.
- Proven ability to provide technical solutions to a wide range of somewhat complex problems.
- Ability to work independently & a problem solver
- Demonstrates clear written and oral communication skill at all levels.
- Ability to interpret and present technical concepts to business stakeholders.
