Job description: Story Behind the Need:

• Business group: Project Delivery & Support
• Project: Global Currency Program
• Reason for request: PM will manage workstreams within program to software currency efforts

Candidate Value Proposition:

• 8+ years experience in a Project Manager role, working closely with business partners and Senior Executives

Typical Day in Role:

• Develop, track and manage project budget, project plans, timelines and scope
• Manage project resources including procuring project staff, developing, motivating, coaching and advising
• Partner closely with other members of functional teams to define business requirements
• Lead teams of developers in the delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet business needs
• Define test plans and ensure that products are defect free before User Acceptance Testing
• Facilitate the User Acceptance Testing process, developing rollout plans and procedures
• Prepare and present cost-benefit analyses
• Ensure appropriate systems development and project management processes are being utilized
• Make presentations to steering committees or project sponsors
• Communicating with project team and vendors

Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:

• 8+ years experience in a Project Manager role, working closely with business partners and Senior Executives
• Prior experience with software upgrade projects/programs (20+applications)
• Prior PM experience managing a project upwards of $2 Million Dollars
• People Management Project Scope of at least 30 people.
• Proven ability to learn business processes quickly and to work well with business partners at different levels within the organization
• Strong ability to assess risk and apply management principles to technology applications/products and business functions
• This role is bilingual, requiring English and Spanish

Nice-To-Have Skills:

• Previous client Experience an asset
• IT Service Management project/program/operational experience an asset
• Strong Excel experience
• Prior Infrastructure management and upgrade projects (Service Now implementation)
• Prior Regulatory Reporting experience

Soft Skills:

• Demonstrated ability to be flexible/ adaptable in exercising judgment in a changing environment and to manage competing priorities
• Great communication skills are required, as they will regularly be communicating internally and externally

Best vs Average:

• The ideal candidate would have experience with one of the top 5 banks or a large insurance company and prior experience with executive management

Degrees or certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field required (Technical fields preferred, although experience is more important)

Candidate Review & Selection:

• Structure and Format: Two rounds (screening interview with HM + interview with project sponsors)
