How will you contribute?
Working with the Debates and Publications team, you will be providing administrative support, and operational support in the production of committee and chamber transcripts. You will be an integral part in ensuring that a variety of day-to-day office and clerical tasks are successful in supporting business activities. Responsibilities include verifying, updating and preparing various documents; maintaining a primarily electronic filing system; and responding to inquiries.
The successful incumbent will bring expertise to a broad range of administrative areas and must possess a strong ability to communicate effectively across numerous channels, demonstrate a high level of autonomy, and be able to effectively manage a variety of administrative tasks.
We are looking for a dynamic, self-motivated, highly organized, driven and experienced Administrative Assistant. A passion for excellence and quality service must be second to none.

Prerequisites
- Successful completion of a post-secondary school OR an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience directly related to the position;
- A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a similar administrative position or customer service role;
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to compile, analyze, prepare, organize and maintain information in an efficient manner;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Demonstrated ability to work simultaneously with different groups in a multi-disciplinary environment;
- Excellent customer service skills;
- Superior knowledge of MS Office products;
- Ability to work evenings.

Other
Operational support in the production of committee and chamber transcripts involves the use of the Senate’s Iris (XML) application. The incumbent will receive the appropriate training of the application as it applies to the responsibilities of the position.
