We are looking to hire an individual that is organized and has top notch time-management skills. The individual will report locally to our Local Finance Analyst for a 18 month Mat Leave Contract which would support the local business units. This is a great opportunity for a self-motivated, detail oriented and energetic team player.
What you will do
- Coding and obtaining approval for vendor invoices, responding to queries on vendor invoices
- Work with AP to process invoices efficiently and ensuring timely payment of invoices, investigating and resolving payment issues
- Allocating refund cheques/payments received locally, process local credit card payments
- Update local over time reports; follow up with all the inquiries from staff regarding their balance, assist with timely distribution of OT reports to HR, perform accurate payout calculations and obtain management approvals for payout
- Be an initial contact for local office accounting questions and assistance; distribute monthly staff report as required
- Manage and reconcile petty cash funds
- Maintaining records and documentation
- Maintaining confidentiality of information

What you bring to the role
- Minimum 1 year work experience in a clerical/administrative role related to accounting or office services
- Understanding of accounting principles, accounts receivable/payable processes, and best practices
- Proficient Microsoft computer skills
- Experience performing account reconciliations/analysis
- Be able to work independently and as a part of a team
- Have the ability to deal with a variety of people and answer queries
- Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written
- Attention to detail with the ability to work quickly and accurately
