What You Will Do:
- Coordinate’s logistics activities with internal/external customers
- Adhoc Project Management – achieves operational and warehouse objectives by contributing information and recommendations; preparing and completing action plans; Implementing productivity, resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends.
- Logistics Optimization – Track KPIs and daily performance of WH and report on logistics/warehouse performance
- Policies, Processes & Procedures – adhere/comply with company policies and procedures
- Manages the various tools used to support the performance measurement of the logistics and warehouse functions
- Provide total logistics support as required for all Ecolab Logistics, transportation, and warehousing including 3PLs
- Coordination of Inventory Processes: Coordinate all activities about inventory, e.g., return of inventory items identified as a wrong item shipped, inventory disposal.
- Annual/Quarterly physical inventory count – Cycle Count and any other required current
- Future physical inventory counts in conjunction with the Ecolab policy in consideration of delivery lead-times, minimum order quantities, safety stock, plant closures, holidays, inventory requirements, and anticipated warehouse/logistics issues
- Administer logistics paperwork/documentation including inbound receipts, outbound shipments, COA’s. Ensure documents are properly printed, filed, documented, accurate, and accessible.
- Address issues and maintain files relating to receiving issues, stock discrepancy, US products and late receipts. Follow up as needed and distribute to applicable departments.
- Manage freight claims process including gathering necessary documentation, preparing freight claims and issuing to carriers, following up with carriers to ensure claims are addressed and payment received, and preparing log to track claims.
- Evaluate shipment compliance to schedule. Identify carrier and logistics trends, issues, and opportunities to next level management. Report on inventory shortages and concerns.
- Analyze warehouse shipping compliance and carrier performance to ensure Deliver in Full On Time (DIFOT) targets are met. Identify issues and opportunities to next level management.
- Communicate deviations to the shipping schedule to the shipping supervisor/distribution manager to enhance order cycle time.
- Prepare documentation for Disposal once approval is received and Ecolab bill of lading.
- Prepare documentation for all US returns once return approval is received, including customs and Ecolab bill of lading.
- Coordinate and execute stock checks of short shelf life items to ensure stock rotation to mitigate expired inventory.
- Investigate and correct inventory discrepancies between Canadian warehouses and US inbound. .
- Perform system housekeeping on the various platforms to reflect accurate inventory trail and transactions.
- Participate in the development and revision of SOPs for the department.
- Maintain housekeeping standards in the various warehouse areas.
- Provide back up support to the Logistic Team Leader and other Logistics function roles to cover off illness, vacation, and high volume work periods.
- Additional duties as required to meet business needs
Education and Experience Required
- Post-secondary Education; degree or diploma in Logistics or Business is strongly preferred.
- SAP experience strong asset
- 3+ years previous related experience in supply chain, production or logistics.
- Previous supervisory experience preferred.
Technical Skills and Competencies
- Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills.
- Able to interact effectively with others, provide guidance and constructive feedback with tact and diplomacy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with demonstrated intermediate level expertise in Excel and experience with Access.
- Good organizational skills and high attention to detail. Able to prioritize multiple projects and adjust workload accordingly.
- Able to work effectively with minimal supervision, showing initiative, good judgement and superior decision making skills.
- Good data analysis skills and problem solving skills.

- Good knowledge of ISO, FDA, OSHA, WHMIS, and TDG systems.
