Department Overview

The Next Evolution of Work is a multiyear initiative setup to simplify the operating model & increase operating efficiencies, empower talent and increase the focus on our customers. The NEW finance team is embedded in NEW, living the model as part of the NEW Program Finance and Performance Management Product Group and is responsible for transforming our financial frameworks to align to the new model and supporting the Journeys, Platforms, Practices and Centers of Excellence as they are stood up across the enterprise.

Job Requirements

  • Strong financial acumen with proven ability to successfully deliver on large and complex initiatives.
  • Deep understanding of cost allocation methodologies and the ability to evaluate existing cost frameworks and present viable alternatives with a mindset towards minimizing downstream impacts.
  • Ability to get up to speed quickly to understand the infrastructure of the impacted systems, tools and processes and be able to evaluate and recommend viable alternatives.
  • Ability to effectively work under tight timelines and prioritize multiple deliverables to ensure that deadlines are met
  • Ability to think conceptually (“out-of-the-box”) and have a high degree of attention for detail
  • Excellent analytical, problem-resolution, and organizational skills are required – able to provide clear and concise summaries of relevant data, observations and recommendations to management (turns complexity into simplicity)
  • Previous experience in effective stakeholder management; proven ability to work effectively with teams and individually
  • Agility and speed to proactively identify and resolve issues and manage conflict through positive negotiation
  • Process-oriented with a focus on development, improvement/enhancement and transparency

Specific Educational and Professional Experience Requirements:

  • University degree with accounting designation preferred
  • Comfortable in a project driven, time-sensitive, team-based environment
  • 5+ years professional financial & project management experience in a large financial services or technology organization
  • Experience using financial and related systems, knowledge of Hyperion and OBI is also considered an asset
  • High competency level with MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint and Word); advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.

Job Description

Reporting to the AVP Finance, NEW, this role is accountable to support the Next Evolution of Work (NEW) initiative. This role will be be deployed to Customer Journeys or Enterprise Platforms to support the stand up of the organization through the design of the spend envelope, the building of the financial and management reporting, the allocations approach and any associated analysis. The role will work support Platform and Journey leaders and their associated organizations, as well as working closely with the NEW Program stakeholders through transition. This role will require demonstrated leadership skills with a superior ability to achieve successful results through the use of facilitation, negotiation and influencing skills. The Senior Manager Finance will work with a broad range of stakeholders, business partners and other finance teams to achieve positive outcomes and value add to the organization.
