Manager, Finance (T)

Bell Technical Solutions is a wholly owned subsidiary of Bell Canada that specializes in the installation of Bell services, including home phone, Internet and Fibe TV. Together, our 6000+ employees work diligently to provide Canadians with the necessary technology to connect and communicate with their family and friends from across the country and the world.
What is the opportunity?
Reporting to the Senior Manager – Finance, the Manager, Finance will be responsible for providing proactive and quality financial planning and analysis to the Bell Technical Solutions management team as well as working with the Finance Team to deliver month-end processes and related reports.
What will you do?
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual divisional budgets and deliver quality variance analysis and customer service to the divisional Director;
- Present monthly results and/or business cases to BTS senior management team;
- Develop and monitor KPIs, identify gaps between actual and expected results and create actionable recommendations to achieve targets;
- Identify and implement process improvement initiatives and establish best practices;
- Take the lead on projects and initiatives and prepare business cases for presentation;
- Create financial models to evaluate business decisions and find opportunities within the organization;
- Monthly and year-end G/L reconciliations, creating and posting journal entries;
- Ensure controls are in place to safeguard the company’s assets;
- Lead financial analysis coordinator(s) in month-end closing processes and preparing financial scorecards;
- All other tasks/projects as assigned including ad-hoc reporting as assigned by the Senior Manager and Director of Finance.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- 3 years of work experience in an analyst role;
- University Degree is required;
- Completion or enrolment in CPA;
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships;
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail;
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task and meet conflicting deadlines in a fast paced work environment;
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and take initiative to make decisions.
Nice-to-have
- Experience in a management role;
- Experience with SAP;
- Knowledge of VBA, SQL, SAS or other coding languages;
- Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset.
