Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Manager – IT Assets, Performance & Knowledge to join our Information Technology team, reporting to the Director, IT Business Office. This role is based in Stellarton, Nova Scotia.

Job Description

What you’ll get to do in this fast-paced role:

  • Lead the curation and publishing of all performance metrics and technology asset information to demonstrate the pulse of IT.
  • Oversee the process of reporting on our technology assets and performance to enable key value indicator reporting for the IT executive, enterprise heat map production, risk assessments, track business adoption, identify decommission opportunities, track vendor spends, etc.
  • Delve into reporting metrics and lead root cause analysis and the suggestion of improvements to enhance our IT Performance.
  • Accountable for the development and continuous improvement of our project estimation methodologies with an ever-growing focus on accuracy improvement.
  • Collaborate with various teams throughout IT and our Project Management Office to determine resource requirements and forecasts for projects.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of IT Marketing through the development of IT Playbooks for each business function, and the creation of IT Newsletters/Whitepapers.

Job Requirements

Your experience and resume will show us:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business/Computer Science and/or equivalent relevant experience
  • Minimum 8 years progressive experience in related roles
  • Strong leadership skills to motivate team members and know how to efficiently make important decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to evolve various IT methodologies.
  • Ability to effectively manage priorities, multi-task, and excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well with internal teams, business and external partners.
  • Understand the value of data to operate and enable decision making in an enterprise of our size.
  • Understand holistically how asset data, architecture and planning views are integrated and support each other.
  • Adaptability to new technology/processes.
