Manager of Finance
The District of Lake Country is seeking a permanent full-time Manager of Finance to join their team. Reporting to the Director of Finance and Administration, Chief Financial Officer, the Manager of Finance will effectively lead, perform, and manage the planning, administering, reporting and measuring of financial information and assets of the District. The Manager of Finance will produce and review financial information critical to business interests as well as create reports regarding accounting data to enable knowledge-based decision making and forecasts. There is a requirement to deal frequently with confidential matters, with the general public and with personnel items, including managing and coaching, requiring the exercise of sound judgment, tact and discretion at all times.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or a related field and five years of related experience with progressively increasing responsibility, in a diverse and complex organization, preferably in local government. Preference will be given to candidates who have recent demonstrated experience managing, directing, coaching, and leading employees in a unionized environment. Successful completion of a recognized professional accounting designation is required. The annual salary for this exempt position is within a range of 105,000 to $123,000, depending upon qualifications, and includes a comprehensive pension and benefits package.
