This positions reports to the Sr Electrical Engineer, Underground Maintenance Engineering.

This position is located in Allan, Saskatchewan, Canada.

What you will do:

• Provide maintenance engineering support to safely implement, maintain, and improve underground facilities, equipment, and processes
• Perform load flow, arc flash, and short circuit analyses; coordinate protective devices; power system design including cable and transformer sizing
• Assist in the design, review, and deployment of underground infrastructure, including power distribution network(600V-25kV), power substations, and transformer equipment
• Participate in project management activities, including cost management, reporting to stakeholders, business case development, and vendor/contractor management
• Be a safety leader and foster a positive safety culture

What you will bring:

• Electrical Engineering degree
• Must be registered or be eligible for registration with APEGS; P. Eng designation (through APEGS) is an asset
• Ability to work underground and perform field work as required
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Excellent work ethic
• Excellent interpersonal and social skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Ability to effectively communicate in a professional setting and with non-technical and/or diverse groups
• Thorough decision-making and problem-solving skills
• Understanding of underground potash mining is an asset
