Position Title: Open Education Resource Coordinator
Status: FT Support
Hours: 37.5 hrs per week
Faculty/Department: Longo Faculty of Business
Campus/Location: North Campus (Primary) Lakeshore Campus (Occasional)
Pay Range: $30.56/hr – $35.42/hr
What you will do:
Reporting to the Associate Dean, Longo Faculty of Business, the Open Education Resource (OER) Coordinator supports with development and support of all Open Education Resource (OER) projects within the Longo Faculty of Business. The incumbent supports the delivery of courses and projects through instructional design, resource sourcing, and delivery of OER projects.

What you bring to the role:
Education:
The successful candidate will hold a two year diploma or equivalent in computer applications, computer systems etc. Additional training obtained by courses is preferred such as: Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and the Foundations of Teaching & Learning Certificate, Teaching in a Digital World Certificate, and /or the Digital Documents Accessibility Training Certificate.
Experience:
The incumbent will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in one or more of the following areas: instructional design, computer applications etc.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, organizational, presentation and planning skills. Able to communicate effectively with a diverse student population.
- A goal/results focused individual, with the ability to balance and handle competing priorities in a high-volume academic environment, and work with minimal supervision
- Administrative and document tracking skills, attention to detail and accuracy.
- Advanced computer skills (MS Office, Google Documents, Contact Management Systems; Experience with Banner and Blackboard would be an asset.
- MOS certifications for Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Demonstrable experience with Google Documents, Google Presentations, Apple Pages, and Apple Keynote
- Administrative and document tracking skills, attention to detail and accuracy.
- Other qualifications include demonstrated ability to listen, empathize, problem solve, exercise good judgment, work with interruptions, and deal with conflicts.
