Job Description

You are an ambassador for the exceptional service and cuisine that are hallmarks of our food & beverage experience. Your warm, personal attention and knowledge of our outstanding offerings makes guests feel unique and valued.

What you will be doing:

• Assist guests regarding menu items in an informative and helpful way
• Have full knowledge of beverage lists and promotions, menu items and preparation methods
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
• Demonstrates Accor Service Promise Standards and Values in all interactions with both guests and colleagues.
• Maintains uniform and adheres to Fairmont Hotels and Resorts grooming standards.
• Adheres to hotel’s allergy policy and ensures allergy policies are adhered to by colleagues.
• Ensures all work areas are maintained in a clean and safe manner free from all potential hazards.
• Participates in regularly scheduled departmental communication meetings.
• Adheres to Health & Safety policy and ensures safe work practices are always followed.
• Adheres to hotel’s environmental policies and Planet 21 initiatives.
• Completes other duties as assigned which include In-Room Dining duties

Qualifications

• Manitoba Smart Choices Responsible Service Certification is a condition of employment
• Availability to work evening shifts
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
• Ability to work cohesively and collaboratively as part of a team
