Job title: Procurement & Planning Analyst
Job description: The Opportunity: Reporting to the Ontario Procurement Manager, the Procurement and Planning Analyst plays an integral role in the Supply Chain process that connects the two sides of the operations together – our Hatcheries and our Processing Plants. This person is responsible for planning our day-old chicks with our Broiler Producers while ensuring we meet our hatchery and live poultry processing plant commitments.

Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:
- Building strong working relationships and daily interactions with producers, hatchery, our field staff, and optimization to build the processing plan.
- Responsible for the daily communications with the producers and Hatcheries to coordinate placement dates, delivery times, headcount, and confirming actual placement information to effectively execute the kill plan.
- Order Entry into the SAP system and daily changes to orders based on the days hatch
- Working with the Chicken Farmers of Ontario allocation system, confirming farmers and programs, tracking changes and smoothing out farms for consistent supply for our Hatcheries and processing plants
- Long-range projections for hatchery egg supply
- Collecting orders from our Field staff and ensuring producers have the correct days to market to ensure Plant demands are met
- Balancing hatches so Hatchery commitments are met.
- Constantly Analyzing farm results and reacting to them to ensure proper bird size is met at processing.
- Tracks individual RWA flock numbers and coordinates these flock numbers for use between the Hatchery, Feed Mill, and Producers as placements occur.
- Maintaining master Files for the grower database
- Ad hoc reporting
- Back up to the other Procurement & Planning Analyst
- Support the entire Poultry Procurement Team Planning Processes
- Accountable for contributing to the delivery of the team’s performance objectives.
- Special projects as requested.

What You’ll Bring:
- Post-secondary education or University Degree in Agriculture, Business, Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience) preferred.
