WHO YOU ARE:

Our client is searching for ambitious team players and self-starters to grow within a fast paced start-up environment. As a Production Technician located in their Vancouver facility, you will play a key role in producing plant based products, working the production line as instructed, and strictly following health and safety guidelines related to the operations of plant based products. You will be working alongside a great team and for a fast growing company.

Job Responsibilities Include:

• General production operator, steaming, branding, vacuum packaging, and other tasks as required

• Working closely with vegetables

• Weighing of dried and fresh herbs and spices

• Creating plant based meats by hand

• Packaging our delicious plant based products

• Lifting of heavy boxes and materials required

• Setting up of equipment from production

• Operating a wide array of machinery, including tanks and kettles, to prepare food for production

• Maintaining a clean work station and clean equipment while it is not in use at the end of every shift, and sterilize thoroughly to ensure it remains sanitary

• Being cognizant of any changes in a machine’s capabilities, and report any malfunctions to Leads

• Recording production data including weight tracking, inventory tracking, etc.

• Cleaning and sanitization of equipment

• Other duties as assigned by the Production Lead and/or Manager

Requirements

Must Haves:

• Excellent time management and organizational skills

• Excellent hand-eye coordination

• Physical dexterity and ability to stand for long periods of time

• Basic troubleshooting skills and basic mechanical aptitude

• Ability to work in temperature controlled environments with loud noises

• Ability to follow safety procedures and protocols

Qualifications:

• 1+ years experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally within the food or production

• Strong technical skills and an understanding of machines and troubleshooting is considered an asset

• Food Safe Level 1 is considered an asset

• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs

• Occupational First Aid (OFA) Level 2 Certification or equivalent is considered an asset

• Knowledge of safety and health standard regulations is considered an asset

• Must be comfortable working in a temperature controlled environment

• Previous experience with warehouse machinery and equipment, such as a pallet jack, is an asset

Shift Requirements:

• Must be able to work any day of the week from 8:30am-4:30pm
