Job description: If you are a talented and experienced recruiter looking to gain in-house experience with a dynamic and highly creative mid-sized organization, Aplin has partnered with our national client to search for the newly created role of Talent Acquisition Specialist in the Agriculture Industry. Our organization follows a hybrid work structure where employees can work remotely or from the office, as needed, based on demands of specific tasks or personal work preferences.

Responsibilities:

• Working closely with hiring managers to execute searches
• Defining role requirements and writing engaging postings
• Identify current and prospective staffing requirements
• Sourcing candidates through social media, networking, and headhunting
• Managing the selection process, keeping candidates engaged and delivering an exceptional candidate experience
• Negotiating offers of employment and conducting references
• Creating and maintaining strong and consistent talent pipelines and maintaining positive relationships with potential candidates
• Play a key role in front-line provisions by planning, organizing and carrying out student, inter-provincial and international recruitment programs
• Provide technical and professional expertise
• Ensure accurate information gathering, coupled with confidential data collection and documentation
• Creating efficiencies and tracking data for optimum recruiting metrics
• Building and maintaining a positive presence in the community and living the brand values

Qualifications:

• 4 – 6 years’ previous talent acquisition experience, preferably within the Agriculture Industry
• Previous experience successfully managing the full-cycle recruitment process
• A demonstrated ability to utilize innovative sourcing techniques
• Proficiency with technology, including social media platforms
• Exceptional organizational skills and communication style
• Solid ability to multi-task and prioritize work
• Positive attitude and be an effective and contributing team member
