One of our banking clients is looking for a Remedy IT Administrator – Major Bank
Length: 8 Months contract with a strong possibility of extension
Location: Mississauga, ON
Working Hours: Wed to Friday – 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Saturday & Sunday – 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
GROUP INFO: There are 7 people currently on the team, all FTE. This group supports a series of in-house built applications (user access, manage changes, server support). The end clients are internal employees that support the P&C sales force.
TEAM CULTURE: Extremely collaborative. There are many small applications, so there is a lot of knowledge transfer between the team. Looking for someone who is a team player and has great communication skills as the team deals with internal employees directly. Close knit team – there are team building activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but are not limited to):
- Accountable for managing requests received from end users
- Investigating, resolving, escalating all tickets
- Help desk/resolving issues through application
TOP SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
- Experience with Remedy (looking for a Remedy administrator – not just operating the system, but updating/managing user profiles)
- Windows server support
- Communication skills – both verbal and written (dealing with end users by phone and email)
- Previous Desktop support experience
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- Previous experience with SQL Server – database builds
- Previous experience with Visual Basic
SOFT SKILLS/PERSONALITY TRAITS
- Communication skills
- Problem solving skills – come up with a proposed solution – looking for someone who shows initiative
- Team player
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:
- College degree in relevant field
- Practical experience is more important than education
Please note: The candidate will be primarily responsible to run/monitor our attended automation processes. This will require a lot of internal training so the key attribute will be an individual who can work independently and become comfortable using a variety of legacy BMA applications. Some familiarity with database design would be helpful
