Job description: The Opportunity:

The is a hybrid contract position with our client in the higher education space, located in Toronto. The Salesforce developer and education cloud consultant will use their expertise to design and build world-class applications to meet the client’s POC requirements and improve their internal and client-facing Salesforce environment. Their POC consists of integrating Salesforce into their admission process in a seamless way, presently the data is coming from OUAC to their SIS system and then processed by the registrar team, the CRM is preconfigured with an admission module, but it’s still not used and it needs to be customized and tuned to fit the vision of having a centralized platform to contact candidates and build reports on important admission KPI.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Work directly with business to understand corporate vision and requirements, and translate them into appropriate technical specifications
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to determine application requirements
• Develop and configure a multitenant, distributed application using Salesforce technology
• Assisting users with questions, support, and adoption of the platform
• Providing timely and effective solutions to technical complexities and challenges
• Executing unit testing, and coordinating user acceptance testing to ensure requirements are met

What You’ll Need To Be Successful:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
• 2-4 year of development experience on the Salesforce platform.
• 3+ years as a Salesforce administrator
• Experience training and supporting nontechnical staff in the use of Salesforce
• Application Design
• Application Development
• Educational Services
• Salesforce Integration
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Demonstrates constructive conflict resolution skills to ensure a positive outcome for all involved
• Thinks outside the box when overcoming problems
• Bilingual French is an asset
