You will use your expertise to:
- Provide key support in preparing monthly financial results for upgrading business
- Deliver stewardship reporting, forecasting, business planning cycles and accounting policy decisions
- Collaborate with business partners regarding all aspects of financial and business performance
- Engage with budget owners and supply chain management to drive effective cost performance
- Synthesize large amounts of detailed information quickly and present to stakeholders
- Provide information to our central consolidation and reporting team

Must-haves (minimum requirements):
- A Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or economics
- Eight years of relevant oil and gas experience
- A recognized accounting designation (CA, CPA, CMA, CGA) with a solid understanding of financial and accounting principles
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with SAP/BW, SAP Analytics Cloud Program and Microsoft Suite of tools
- Strong interpersonal skills with proven success in business partnering outside of finance team
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail
- A continuous improvement mindset
- Alignment with our

Preference for:
- Previous business facing finance role experience
- The ability to work effectively in a virtual team environment.
- The ability to translate data into concise key messages either for presentation or discussion purposes for non-finance audience
Where you’ll be working, your work schedule, and other important information:
- You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W
- Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
