We are pleased to be partnered with them to bring a full time, permanent Senior Financial Analyst, Corporate Accounting to their Corporate Reporting & Accounting department. Reporting to the Finance Manager, Corporate Accounting, this position is responsible for analyzing routine information for accuracy, generating accounting entries and performing analysis that requires data interpretation, professional judgement, or business insight. This role will oversee the Corporate Accounting Clerk.

Major Responsibilities

  • Review and post accruals and journal entries
  • Prepare working papers and reconciliations supporting the month-end close process
  • Supervise and coach Accounting Clerk
  • Support the business with analyzing and summarizing results, monitoring variances and identifying trends
  • Create and analyze financial statements and revaluations
  • Review work completed by Financial Analysts
  • Monitor and communicate key month-end timelines, collaborating with teams to achieve deadlines
  • Perform other related duties as required

Qualifications

  • University business degree with accounting major
  • CPA designation or working towards
  • 1-3+ years of relevant experience
  • SAP user knowledge is an asset
  • Clear and effective communication skills, both verbally and written
  • Excellent analytical skills
