They operate bulk furnace oil and propane outlets across Atlantic Canada, New England and Quebec as well as select locations in eastern Ontario, almost all of which is supplied from their refinery in NB. What you’ll be doing As the new Senior IT Project Manager, you will be managing several complex projects simultaneously and leading the solution investigation and determination, project planning, effective delivery of planned outcomes within time and budget, and all associated stakeholder relationships. Practically speaking you will: * Collaborate with appropriate Business, IT and 3rd party stakeholders to confirm the problems to be solved, expected outcomes and project deliverables. * Identify and confirm project approach and engage appropriate Business, IT and 3rd party resources to develop effective plans to manage the initiative (resource, financial, communications, schedule) utilizing client’s project delivery framework, documents and tools. * Provide innovation and transformational leadership during solution identification. * Ensure plans include and align to all relevant IT and Client policies or standards and with Vendors’ contracts and processes. * Effectively and positively negotiate and influence staff assignments and any associated procurement timelines. * Assign deliverables, tasks and activities and continuously monitor and control all associated resources, schedules and plans. * Anticipate and effectively deal with issues throughout the life of the initiative. * Effectively deal with changes within authority and escalate and collaborate on changes that exceed authority in a timely manner. * Ensure optimal communications within and across teams and with all project stakeholders. * Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis and ensure a strong and positive stakeholder relationship. * Provide positive team leadership and motivate those teams directly and indirectly involved, including 3rd party providers. * Ensure optimal deliverables quality. The Details This is a full-time permanent position based in Saint John, New Brunswick. If relocation is required, assistance can be provided. Qualifications * Post-secondary education or equivalent work experience in the field of Information Technology. * 10 + years IT project management work experience. * Strong leadership, communications, facilitation, collaboration and relationship management skills. * Experience working with 3rd party providers and in cross functional / matrixed team environments. * Experience utilizing corporate and 3rd party project management processes and software. * PMP designation is required. * Strong understanding of project management methodologies including Waterfall and Agile.
