SENIOR MANAGER, ERP AND FINANCIAL SYSTEMS

The Senior Manager, ERP and Financial Systems will work with the Aurora Finance team and related stakeholders on deployments and integration of ERP and financial systems across the organization, with the aim of delivering best in class finance processes that are scalable with Aurora’s domestic and international growth plans.

In this newly created and fast paced role, to be successful you must have in-depth knowledge of ERP systems, understand the related execution risk and how to mitigate it. You will lead and manage complex systems/process design and implementation as well as participate on integration projects. You will lead and manage system and process based finance projects to drive excellence and ensure planned benefits are delivered. You understand stakeholder management and effectively manage relationships across large and complex organizations and professional services partners. You will be required to leverage your finance and technical expertise to challenge the status quo, strive for continuous improvement, operational excellence and a focus on design for the future.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and manage the deployment and integration of various ERP and Finance related support systems
  • Provide leadership to align the various systems stakeholders including, but not limited to, Corporate Finance, Operational Finance, Operations, IT, Tax, and ERP team
  • Work with ERP and IT project management teams to ensure Finance stakeholders requirements are considered and effectively executed
  • Utilize automation solutions, lean manufacturing principles, and other process improvement efforts to develop and enhance best practice processes and systems
  • Work with Corporate Change Management team to manage integration and process related change and training of the Finance team
  • Provide subject matter expertise on Systems, Operations, and Finance
  • Provide system onboarding to new Finance team members
  • Provide go-live and end-user support during system integrations
  • Lead and participate in system UAT testing initiatives
  • Develop business requirements for technology solutions, support testing requirements and support training programs associated with technology change
  • Support project managers with the pipeline of identified opportunities, prioritization and focus areas, planning, building and managing project schedule/budgets, and reporting on project risks/issues and benefits realized to date
  • Build and manage Finance ERP support team, if/when applicable

REQUIREMENTS:

  • CPA/MBA, or Accounting/Business related degree
  • Strong experience with ERP applications
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS standards
  • Experience across tax, treasury, accounting, costing, financial reporting and risk management
  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience in leading business process development and improvement initiatives
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Display team work & integrity
  • Ability to work independently and in a cross-functional team environment and be comfortable in a dynamic, high growth environment
  • Sound business acumen with demonstrated ability to manage interpersonal relationships across various levels of stakeholders
  • Availability to travel within and outside of Canada, on occasion
  • PMP/PRINCE2 or other relevant project management qualification an asset
  • Manufacturing experience an asset
  • Knowledge and experience with LEAN and Six Sigma is an asset
  • Experience in change management methodologies PROSCI is an asset
